6 months agoUsually, I give an establishment a few visits before writing a review, but I'm so impressed with this restaurant I have to comment after only 1 visit. From the roses on the table to the napkins in the bathroom, Rustic Roots is white glove service minutes the stuffiness and formality. The wait staff was absolutely amazing, and the food delicious. Get the skillet cornbread and the crispy chicken sandwich with extra jalapeno aioli. Oh my God, I wish I were eating that right now. Salt and vinegar fries were delicious too. They also cook your burger properly, so medium rare is actually medium rare. Everyone in my group only had the best things to say about this place. Good beer selection and cocktails, but also an impressive non-alcoholic section of beverages. I like that they cater to drinkers and non-drinkers.

6 months agoGreat food, drinks and service. Doesn't offer reservations so plan to wait a little during busy times. Seasonal changes are a nice touch so there is always something new beyond the staples. Plenty of parking in the lot.

2 months agoA decent spot for Long Island. Lean towards the healthier fare, as the flatbread and cornbread is likely 800 cal each. Food and atmosphere is nice here, the beet salad looked good and the brussel sprouts. The rest is very, very greasy. Beer list is good as well.

6 months agoUnfortunately a very good restaurant goes to the dogs!! After many years dining at Rustic Root, due to tragic circumstances, the restaurant was sold. Looking forward to branzino, off the menu, ordered a burger. The server, although very nice, explained “medium” upon ordering. Burger arrived very well done. Manager offered to take it back, however appetite was gone. We told the manager we would take it home and give it to our dogs. Manager offered drinks, I declined. Bill arrived, with burger charged, paid the bill and left a generous tip. VERY DISAPPOINTING. After years of eating there 2+ times a month will not go back.
